Ushered in to the Rib n Reef's award winning wine cellar at the dawn of a new time in high end wine service, Rob Wiseman bridges the link between new and old. A veteran of fine dining establishments all over Montreal, in his short career, Rob Wiseman has blazed a trail as a man who has his finger on the pulse of our diners tastes buds.
Having started out in this business as a chef, Rob has translated his passion for food, into a full blown obsession with wines from some of the new up and coming growing regions of the world, all the while remembering wine cultures deep roots in France and Italy. "I'm constantly trying to express to people how the climate affects a grape greatly from one region to the other, allowing me to take our guests on a journey to new regions where they might not expect their new favourite wine to come from."
Rob's strong work ethic and positive attitude has also translated to a source of motivation to the entire team. He manages the wait team as a brigade of service with one mission in mind, smiles on customer's faces. Whether you're at a table seeking wine advice, or hanging around the bar, where Rob steers the ship, look up but never far, Rob Wiseman is there to serve you.
